We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. As a rule, data is processed only with the user's consent. Exceptions apply where prior consent is not practically obtainable and processing is permitted by law.
3. Hosting – Firebase (Google)
This website is hosted via Firebase Hosting, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google LLC participates in theEU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (certified since July 2023), which establishes an adequate level of data protection pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR.
When you visit our website, Firebase automatically collects and temporarily stores the following data in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device (anonymised/truncated)
- Date and time of the request
- Requested URL / page
- Volume of data transferred
- HTTP status code
- Browser and operating system (user agent)

4. Newsletter – Brevo
This website offers a free newsletter subscription. We useBrevo(formerly Sendinblue), operated by Sendinblue SAS, 7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris, France. Brevo's servers are located within the EU (Germany / France).
4.1 Data collected
When you sign up for the newsletter, we collect the following data:
- Email address (required)
- Date and time of registration
- IP address at the time of registration (for proof of consent)
- First name (optional, if requested in the form)
4.2 Double opt-in
Newsletter registration uses a double opt-in process. After entering your email address, you will receive a confirmation email containing an activation link. Your address is only added to our mailing list once you click that link, ensuring that only you can register your own address.
4.3 Legal basis and withdrawal
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without giving reasons, by:
- clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or
- sending an informal email to max@wuest-labs.com
Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
4.4 Data processing agreement
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Brevo. Brevo processes data solely on our instructions and not for its own purposes.

5. Analytics – Plausible
No cookies. No cross-site tracking. Plausible does not set cookies and uses no persistent identifiers. No personal data is stored or shared with third parties.
Plausible collects only aggregated and anonymised statistics, including:
- Pages visited and time on site
- Country of origin (derived from IP address, which is not stored after geolocation)
- Browser, operating system, and device type
- Referring website (referrer)
Because Plausible does not collect personal data and sets no cookies,no cookie banner is required for this analytics setup under current law.
