Personal data is processed only as far as necessary to operate this website and provide its content and services. Where consent is required, processing is based on that consent. Other processing takes place only where it is permitted by applicable law.

3. Hosting – Firebase (Google)

This website is hosted using Firebase Hosting, a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The current privacy notice references Google LLC's participation in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework as the basis for an adequate level of protection under Art. 45 GDPR.

When the website is accessed, Firebase automatically collects and temporarily stores server-log information needed to deliver and secure the site, including:

• the IP address of the requesting device (anonymised/truncated),
• date and time of the request,
• the requested URL or page,
• the amount of data transferred,
• the HTTP status code, and
• browser and operating-system information (user agent).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website.

Retention period: Log data is generally deleted automatically after 30 days.

4. Newsletter – Brevo

Wuest Labs offers a free newsletter and uses Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), operated by Sendinblue SAS, 7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris, France. Brevo servers used for this processing are located within the EU (Germany / France).

4.1 Data collected

When you subscribe to the newsletter, the following information may be processed:

• email address (required),
• date and time of registration,
• IP address at registration for proof of consent, and
• first name, if the form requests it and you provide it.

4.2 Double opt-in

Newsletter registration uses a double opt-in process. After submitting your address, you receive a confirmation email with an activation link. The address is added to the mailing list only after that confirmation.

4.3 Legal basis and withdrawal

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without giving reasons by using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email or by emailing max@wuest-labs.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it was withdrawn.

4.4 Data processing agreement

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Brevo. Brevo processes newsletter data on our instructions and not for its own purposes.

5. Analytics – Plausible

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service operated by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Data is processed on servers within the EU. Plausible does not set cookies, does not use cross-site tracking or persistent identifiers, and does not store or share personal data with third parties.

Plausible provides aggregated usage statistics such as:

• pages visited and time on site,
• country derived from the visitor's IP address,
• browser, operating system and device type, and
• referring website.

The IP address is not retained after geolocation. For this analytics configuration, no cookie banner is required.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in improving the offering using aggregated usage statistics.
